Calling all Sydney Beerophiles -- make a date in your diaries for the Strathfield Food Festival this Sunday, October 23. The event is being held in the Town Square from 11am-5pm. Apart from showcasing Strathfield's diverse Korean, Japanese, Indian, Middle Eastern and Chinese food cultures, the festival also marks the debut of the Sydney Beer Society which will be running a beer tent on the day. In collaboration with BidBeer we'll be serving icy cold glasses of Greene King IPA and Samuel Adams Noble Pils. Can you think of a better way to celebrate the start of a long hot summer? At 3.15pm join me in the Marquee for a progressive tasting of some wonderful craft beer from around the world. Murray's Angry Man Pale Ale, Hofbrau Dunkel and Stiegl Goldbrau are just some of the great beers we'll be tasting. I've also organised a sneak preview of a lovely Belgian Saison -- a beer style which is certain to sweep Australia in the next few months. So for delicious food, free entertainment and great beer, Strathfield is the place to be this weekend. See you there.
