Calling All Hendrix Fans

When I was in London in November I came across a little news story about the opening of a new museum dedicated to the late, great Jimi Hendrix. Although this has nothing to do with beer I wanted to share the story – especially if you are going to be in the UK in February when the new museum opens. The guitarist lived in the top floor flat at 23 Brook Street, WI in 1968 and 1969. Oddly enough the German-born composer George Frideric Handel lived in the neighbouring property 240 years before. The two museums now enjoy joint billing, surely the most bizarre musical duet in human history? The Hendrix flat has been carefully restored as it was when he lived there in 1969. The museum also includes a new permanent exhibition examining Hendrix’s London life. Other improvements include a new Studio learning space and the rooms in which George Frideric Handel lived and worked. It's tiny, so arrive early to avoid the crush.
